SUMMARY

Provides Producer and service team customer service assistance and clerical support of existing accounts and new business.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assists senior staff with support set-up of prospect and customer files;
• Answers telephone and routes calls to others; operates fax machines, scanners, printers and copiers;
• Assists service team with assembly of marketing materials, proposals and presentations for prospects and customers;
• Inputs prospect and customer data into applications;
• Provides word processing assistance as required;
• Assists in support of inputting information into agency management system;
• Involvement in ordering and preparing loss runs;
• Assistance with maintenance of certificate holder list, process of insurance certificates;
• Complies with agency management system data standards and data integrity (enters and maintains complete and accurate information);
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
Currently enrolled in a college as a sophomore, junior or senior, majoring in math, insurance / risk management, or other related field of study
0 – 2 years of work related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

SKILLS REQUIRED

Good verbal and written communication skills
Good customer service skills, including telephone and listening skills
Good problem solving and time management skills
Intermediate typing skills (30-35 wpm)
Ability to work within a team and to foster teamwork
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

• Manages all client required services and maintains client relationship;
• Develops new business leads;
• Acts as direct point of contact for client;
• Prepares and presents to client renewals;
• Sells renewal business to existing clients and where applicable, sells additional lines of coverage;
• Provides analysis and recommendations concerning client's existing coverages;
• Selects carriers for solicitation and negotiates with carriers for coverage and premium considerations and any other available services;
• Receives and responds to client inquiries including coverage, risk management and claims questions and issues;
• Reviews client coverage contracts and amendments for accuracy;
• Engages in optimal and appropriate usage of applicable agency management systems;
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience 
3+ years of Sales experience 
Must attain and maintain state insurance license

SUMMARY

Responsible for providing customer service and overall service of assigned customers and/or policies, and support of Producer-led new and renewal business efforts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supports Producer in developing new business opportunities for existing clients and prospects;
• Initiates renewal process for existing clients, and discusses and creates renewal strategy with Producer;
• Analyzes and compares current exposures and develops renewal or new business specifications for marketing;
• Conducts marketing, negotiates rates, reviews quotes and coverages for competitiveness and accuracy;
• Reviews and summarizes marketing results and prepares proposals;
• Finalizes proposals and presentations in coordination with Producer;
• Binds insurance coverage and prepares binders and/or delegate certificates issuance;
• Reviews policies for accuracy and review contracts;
• Prepares summaries and/or schedules of coverage for clients;
• Reviews client accounting history, responds to accounting inquiries, corrects discrepancies, and contacts client on receivable collections;
• Participates in the claims process as directed by management, including claim submission, follow-up and overall communication;
• Provides technical guidance to staff assisting with client needs or procedural issues;
• Meets with clients as needed or directed by Producer;
• Engages in optimal and appropriate usage of applicable agency management systems;
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and experience 
4 - 8 years related work experience; 
Valid insurance license
Must continue to meet Continuing Education requirements for license renewal
